-No Heat Boho Curls Video Tutorial-
This is one of my favorite techniques for curling my hair. I love this one because it is not damaging to your hair because is a no-heat curling method. I also love the fact that I can wake up to beautiful curly hair which is great because it doesn’t take long to get ready in the morning.
All you will need is a cotton headband, you can find them at your local drug stores or beauty supply shops. You will also need a spray gel, preferably Paul Mitchell’s Soft Sculpting Spray Gel. I have used a mousse in the past but I found that it made my hair too stiff & crunchy. The only product that I use beforehand is a spray leave-in conditioner while my hair is damp. I have thick hair so I use a leave-in conditioner daily to help with detangling. I use Carols Daughter Black Vanilla leave-in conditioner from Sephora which smells divine!
Coconut Oil to the rescue!
I have found the fountain of youth ladies & gents, coconut oil.
Coconut oil is my latest go-to for beautiful skin & hair. While battling eczema on my face the past couple weeks, I purchased “eczema lotions” which did NOT help get rid of it at all. I decided to dab coconut oil onto my face before bed last night. (I normally use it as a hair mask which conditions wonderfully). This morning I wokeup to a flawless eczema-free complexion! It’s a miracle! I’m going to add it to my night time regimen.
You can find coconut oil at the grocery store, I found it at a local health foods store. It should cost around $7.00 and jar!
- I normally keep a jar of it by the bath or in the shower. I use it as a after shower moisturizer & hair mask. You just put the jar under the water to heat it up so that it becomes a oil. Unlike most other oils, coconut oil has a high melting point - about 24 to 25 degrees Celcius or 76-78 Farenheit. Therefore it is solid at room temperature and melts only when the temperature goes high. Hence if you buy a bottle of coconut oil and find it solid, don’t think that there is a problem with it. Coconut oil is like this only. And of course do not keep it in the refrigerator!
(P.s. Coconut oil is a wonderful massage oil)
